Mexican Night at Restaurante Txoko Getaria organised by Fleischmann’s Cooking Group & Sol Beer was a night of Mariachis and exquisite Mexican food. Head chef and manager Enrique, with his Mexican zest for cooking, mingles a tropical zing with fresh Atlantic sea flavours, bringing to life traditional Mexican cuisine in a gourmet setting overlooking a traditional Basque port. The menu held delights for the palate with crisp produce, fresh seafood and spice and flavour in all the right places. From tacos to ceviche, Enrique added his characteristic twist, replacing beef and chicken with crab and prawns, and the upbeat and able staff delivered the meal with style. An onlooking crowd gathered around the diners on the terrace to sing along to the Mexican serenades, and the frozen margaritas gave way to a comical photo shoot with sombreros and mustaches and vihuela guitars.
